As all over the world, March 27th world theaters day is celebrated in Turkey. Today, we are very grateful to you for highlighting the importance of the subject. We share the World Theatre Day statement from Turgay Tanülkü's pen. We wish you a pleasant reading.
World Theatre Day Statement
My Friend; It is the one who has chosen to deliver to them what he has taken from people as a way of life.
He's not the one who's taking refuge in the character he's playing; It's my friend who's trying to reach people, who's unconditionally supportive.
He loves and respects people not with their wallets, not with their positions, but with their brains, their hearts, their fingernails, my friend.
With his handicapped, incarcerated, on the podium, when he lifts his trophy to his supporters with sweat, he can say "for all of us." He's the one who can share his bread, his troubles, his joy, his mistakes, his dreams.
My Friend; He is not an actor who is awarded for performing his profession in the best way, but one whose profession is not acting, who can reward someone who performs his role well.
Not one who does not open theaters in cities and towns where art is dismantled and replaced with "bars or business center"; not those who try to cover the light of art; That's what's on the case right now, sitting proudly in the chair of this year's theaters, My Friend.
March 27th is the day that celebrates World Theatre Day with joy, everywhere it is played, as it is today. Who can lift as many stones as he speaks on stage, who can resist the rocks with his silence; It's not the trumpet of dead ends, it's the one who can sing the songs of love from the heart to all those who need it, everywhere.
My Friend; If I didn't deal with art, I wouldn't see music, painting, theater as "light in the dark"; I'd be a bad man; I didn't know anyone, I couldn't live with them, I would die in my own selfishness," he said...
Happy birthday, my friend!
Dostum, who excitedly opens his scenes with budding unity all over the land we live in. My friends who knitted their art productions in solidarity with the Turkish Theatre Association.
Happy Birthday, my friends!
This year, in these seats, you took your place in these lines, adding light to the light in the dark. You have released into my heart the scents of all the flowers of my country.
Happy Birthday, my friends!
Happy March 27th, World Theatre Day!
